Change of Venue

The building in central Manhattan where Chhandayan was located for the past 20 years was sold and we were forced to vacate. While we look for a permanent home, previously scheduled events will still be held at alternate locations determined on month-to-month basis.

Tabla & Rhythm Workshop

This Chhandayan Tabla & Rhythm Workshop will be conducted by Samir Chatterjee. Students of Tabla and other branches of music and dance interested in Indian rhythm may join. Students of all teachers and institutions are also welcome to join. A minimum level of learning experience is required. Students should bring their own instruments, notebooks, a non-intrusive recording device and may bring their water bottle and cushion, if needed. They should wear descent and comfortable dress. They should be in practice for a certain number of hours in preparation for the workshop.

May 23, Saturday- 10 am to 5 pm
May 24, Sunday - 10 am to 5 pm
May 25, Monday - 10 am to 5 pm
